Reconciliation and Acknowledgement

Tasmanian Art Teachers are committed to the Reconciliation process. Through our ongoing work in art education, we acknowledge the original owners of the land upon which we learn, teach and create with our students. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future in our shared spaces of learning, teaching and creating.

The Tasmanian Art Teachers Association is the leading provider, of Visual Art related resources, activities and knowledge supporting Tasmanian Visual Arts educators.

Our Mission

The Tasmanian Art Teachers Association contributes to and supports education and resources to improve and enhance the teaching practice of Tasmanian Visual Arts educators.

Advocacy

· Effectively communicate the value of Visual Arts programs as key to improving the wellbeing of Tasmanians and their environment

· Regularly consult with TATA members and key stakeholders to best support their needs

· Develop, foster and grow meaningful partnerships with all stakeholders to collectively improve Visual Arts outcomes for all learners in Tasmania.
